Lecture in Italian and will be translated into Polish The lecture will be held on Friday November 26( 13:30 h) at the Department of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology Copernicus University in Torun, Szosa Bydgoska 44/48 street.
Paolo Chiozzi, born in Treviso (Italy) in 1943. He is at present Professor of Visual Anthropology in the University of Florence. He made fieldwork in Africa in the 1970s, and later developed an interest towards ethnic/cultural minorities (natives and immigrants) in Europe. Interested also in the "anthropology of education", he introduced the visual anthropological approach within the "inter-cultural pedagogics". For many years he has organized the ethno-anthropological section of the Festival dei Popoli - Documentary Film Festival established in Florence in 1959. He is Member of the Scientific Committee of the "Tuscan Photographic Archive". He published a number of books and of articles in scientific journals. |
